Privacy Policy for MinuteLearning

Effective date: September 28, 2026
Publisher: Value Pattern
App package: com.valuepattern.minutelearning

This Privacy Policy explains how the MinuteLearning Android app (the “App”) accesses, uses, stores and shares information. If you have questions, contact us at support@valuepattern.com.

Summary

MinuteLearning does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, camera or microphone. Your learning progress, favorites and settings stay on your device. The App sends information off the device in three cases only:

Information stored on your device

The App keeps the following in its private storage on your device: your chosen interests, learning progress and card history (which cards you have seen, answered correctly or missed, and when), streaks, favorites, display settings (theme, text size, motion), your daily reminder setting and time, and your analytics choice. Value Pattern does not receive this information. The App’s backup rules exclude this stored data from Android backup.

The learning content itself (cards, questions and their sources) is built into the App and does not depend on who you are.

Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To understand which parts of the App help people learn, the App uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service provided by Google. When analytics is on, it records:

Analytics never includes your individual answers, which cards you studied, the text of card reports or feedback, or your name. The App does not collect the Android Advertising ID: it disables Firebase’s advertising ID collection and removes the advertising ID permissions.

Your choice: Settings, Privacy, “Share usage analytics” is on by default. Turning it off stops analytics collection on your device from then on. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase’s privacy information, and decides how long it keeps that data under the retention settings Firebase offers.

Card reports

If you tap the flag on a card and send a report, the App sends to a Google Form owned by Value Pattern:

No name, email address or account is attached. Reports are used only to correct the card. If you are offline, the report waits on your device and is sent the next time the App opens with a connection. Do not include personal information in a note.

Feedback

If you send feedback from Settings, the App sends to a Google Form owned by Value Pattern your rating (1 to 5, if you chose one), the text you typed (up to 2,000 characters, if any) and the App’s version. No name, email address or account is attached. Feedback is used only to improve the App. Offline feedback waits on your device and is sent later, as with card reports.

Card reports and feedback are stored in Google Forms and Google Sheets under Value Pattern’s Google account. As with any web request, Google receives your device’s IP address when a form is submitted and processes it under its own policies.

Daily reminder

The daily reminder is created and scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved, and no information is sent when a reminder is shown.

Speaking words aloud

On language and vocabulary cards, the speaker button reads the word aloud with the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. The App passes that word to the engine and nothing else. Whether the engine works offline or uses a network service depends on the engine you have chosen in Android settings, and is governed by its provider’s terms.

Permissions

The App may request these Android permissions:

The App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage or advertising ID access.

Retention and deletion

Value Pattern does not operate an account system for the App. Data on your device stays until you clear the App’s storage or uninstall it. Card reports and feedback are kept only as long as they are useful to fix or improve the App, and are deleted when no longer needed. Because they carry no name or contact detail, we cannot match a report to you unless you tell us what you wrote and when. To ask us to delete a report or feedback you sent, email support@valuepattern.com with its text and approximate date. Google decides how long it keeps analytics data, within the retention settings Firebase provides.

Sharing

Value Pattern does not sell personal information and does not share it with advertisers. Information is processed by Google as the provider of Firebase and Google Forms, as described above, and may be disclosed if required by law.

International data transfers

Google may process analytics, card reports and feedback in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the safeguards described in Google’s policies.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and Value Pattern does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child sent personal information in a card report or feedback, contact support@valuepattern.com and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information. You can turn analytics off in Settings at any time, and clear the App’s storage or uninstall it to remove the data on your device. For anything else, email support@valuepattern.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App, its third-party services or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be announced in the App or its store listing.
